Fluid friction is the friction on an object going through any fluid like water. Fluid friction also includes air resistance.
The ball flying through the air: Since fluid friction includes air resistance the ball flying through the air is a great example of fluid friction. When the ball is hit by a club the ball experiences flight. The ball flies through the air and experiences air resistance. The amount of friction varies with the size and amount of dimples on the ball.
The ball entering the water: As we all know water is a fluid. When the ball enters the water it experiences the fluid friction from the water. The the ball goes into the water the water pushes back slowing it down dramatically.
